Camp Mokuleia
This campground sits on Oahu’s north shore, just a short distance from the pleasant Hawaiian waters wherein dolphins and sea turtles frolic. The camp offers protected tropical forest hiking and secure diving.
On a spotless stretch of the Oahu North Shore coastline, Camp Mokuleia is located. They have a lovely lodge with stunning ocean and Waialua coastline views. There are additional options for tent camping and cabin rentals. This is the place to go if you’re looking for a lovely, peaceful, away-from-the-crowds spot to rest and recharge. Ideal for families, couples, single campers, and retreat weekends.
A local family tradition for generations, camping at Camp Mokuleia is a very basic church camp in an isolated location thanks to the expansive beach and coral and the field with plenty of shade.

Malaekahana State Recreation Area – Oahu
A woodland beach park with swimming, bodysurfing, fun beach-related sports, and shore fishing is all housed at Malaekahana Beach Campground. Camping and picnicking are permitted in the Kalanai Point and Kahuku sections. Tent camping happens at thirty-seven established campsites from Friday through Wednesday. Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden
The only city campgrounds that are not on a beach are found at the Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens, which are positioned next to the magnificent Ko’olau Range. The Kahua Kuou campgrounds bring unique camping amidst plants from India and Sri Lanka while being situated in a beautiful jungle. To camp in this park, a documented permit is necessary. There are no refunds for any fees.
Peacock Flats – Mokuleia Forest Reserve
Here, you’ll find open grassland at a higher height, bordered by Cook pine, eucalyptus, and sporadic native trees. expansive views of the north shore, and on clear evenings, fantastic stargazing. There is a shelter for each campsite. No water is accessible. There is access to the Mokuleia Trail through hiking. As soon as a you purchase permits, you will receive a campsite assignment.
In case of a hurricane or tropical storm warning, all forest reserves close. Keep up with the forecasts and conditions of the weather. The Kaena Point Satellite Tracking Station in Yokohama occasionally has its vehicular access restricted by the Air Force for safety concerns. These closures could occur suddenly. We advise you phone the KPSTS land line to find out about any upcoming closures.
Kualoa A Regional Park
Kualoa “A” Beach Park, a hidden gem, closes in the summer to accommodate special park events. To camp in this park, a documented permit is necessary. There are no refunds for any fees. The hours of gate closure are between 8 pm to 7 am. After the Memorial Day weekend, the park closes for the summer and reopens for the Labor Day holiday.
